Door-to-door pet relocation between the US and Asia, where available
Some families want one plan that starts at their front door in the United States and ends at the new home in Asia, or the other way around. We coordinate that whole chain. The physical legs are carried out through local partners where available, and we tell you plainly when a leg is yours to handle.
What door-to-door means here
"Door-to-door" is a phrase that gets used loosely. With us it means this: one written plan covering every step from your home to the new home, one point of contact who keeps it moving, and physical services booked through local partners where they exist for your city.
It does not mean that every leg is available everywhere, or that we can promise a pickup in any town on any date. Before you accept a quote, it lists which legs are covered by partners and which ones, if any, you or your relocation company handle.
Who does what
What we coordinate ourselves
- The relocation plan and the order of every step.
- Veterinary documentation guidance and the timeline with your own veterinarian.
- Permits and import applications where the destination requires them.
- Flight booking arrangements for your pet, matched to its size, breed and route.
- Crate guidance (see crate guidance).
- Arrival coordination: who meets the pet, which inspection comes first, what the owner has to bring.
What runs through local partners, where available
- Pickup from your home and transport to the airport or cargo terminal.
- Boarding before departure or after arrival, if the dates don't line up.
- Customs brokerage and cargo clearance at the destination.
- Delivery from the arrival airport to your home.
We do not drive vans, run kennels or act as customs brokers ourselves. Your quote names which partner role covers each leg, so nothing is assumed.
Who chooses door-to-door
- Families whose pet has to fly on a different day from them, for example because of a cargo-only rule or because the family travels first.
- Employees on assignment whose relocation package covers the pet; see corporate relocation.
- Owners of large dogs, where getting the crate to a cargo terminal is a job in itself.
- Anyone who would simply rather not handle airports and clearance at both ends.
From the United States to Asia
On the US side, a typical chain is: home pickup, the final veterinary visit within the destination's deadline, the official endorsement of the health certificate, then the drive to the departure airport. Which airport makes sense depends mostly on the flights available for your pet; our page on US airports for pet departures and arrivals explains the differences.
On the Asia side, the rules decide how much a partner has to do:
- Hong Kong: dogs and cats arriving under a Group II permit must travel as manifested cargo; excess baggage and hand-carried baggage are not permitted (AFCD permit terms). Cargo clearance is part of the plan. See USA to Hong Kong.
- Singapore: AVS treats the USA as Schedule II. An import license is valid for 90 days, and pets that do not meet the conditions for waived quarantine serve at least 10 days of home quarantine (AVS). See USA to Singapore.
- Japan, South Korea, Taiwan: the arrival inspection, and any quarantine the destination applies, decide when delivery can happen. See USA to Japan, USA to South Korea and USA to Taiwan.
From Asia to the United States
Coming the other way, the chain starts with the export steps of the country you are leaving, then the flight, then US entry. At the US port, CBP recommends contacting the port of arrival before importing a pet, and warns that pets refused entry are returned at the owner's expense and may be held at the port at the owner's expense while their case is decided (CBP). That is why arrival coordination is planned before the pet leaves, not after it lands.
Your destination state may add its own rules; CBP notes that pet imports can be subject to state and local veterinary regulations. Hawaii is the clearest case: dogs and cats that do not meet all of its 5-Day-or-Less requirements can be quarantined for up to 120 days, and direct release happens at Honolulu or, with a permit, at Kona, Kahului or Lihue (Hawaii Department of Agriculture).
For dogs and cats entering the US, the rules are on our US pet import service.
Where door-to-door may not be available
Partner coverage is strongest around major gateway cities. For smaller towns, remote islands, or tight dates around public holidays, a leg may not be available, or only at certain times. When that happens we say so in the quote and suggest the practical alternative: you drop the pet at the cargo terminal, or you collect it at arrival with clear instructions from us.
Quarantine, inspection outcomes and flight dates are decided by governments and airlines. Door-to-door coordination makes the chain smoother; it cannot remove those steps.
How it works
- You tell us the addresses, dates and pets.
- We check the route rules and partner availability for both ends.
- You receive a written quote listing each leg and who performs it.
- We run the plan and keep you updated until the pet is home.
More detail on the steps: how it works.

Questions about this route
Can you guarantee home pickup and delivery?
No. Pickup and delivery run through local partners where available. Your quote states which legs are covered before you commit.
Can my pet fly as my checked baggage to Hong Kong instead?
Not under Hong Kong's Group II permit terms: dogs and cats must arrive as manifested cargo, and excess or hand-carried baggage is not permitted.
Do you handle customs clearance yourselves?
No. Where clearance needs a broker or licensed agent, it is done through a local partner. We prepare the documents and coordinate the timing.
What if my pet arrives before I do?
We can arrange boarding through local partners where available, or plan the flight so your pet arrives after you. Some destinations, such as Singapore, set conditions for waiving quarantine, so we check the order of arrivals against those rules.
