Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions we hear most. Your quote covers the details for your pet and your route.

Questions about this route

Which routes do you cover?

Moves between the United States and Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia, in both directions. Other Asian countries are possible on request. See all destinations.

How long does a relocation take to prepare?

It depends on the destination and on your pet's vaccination history. Some routes need a rabies blood test and a waiting period that add up to six or seven months; others can be ready in a few weeks. See how early to prepare.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the route, your pet's size (crate dimensions drive airfare), the travel mode, the tests and permits required, and whether you need services on the ground. We don't publish one price because it would be wrong for most moves; your written quote is itemized. See what drives the cost.

Can my pet fly in the cabin?

Sometimes. It depends on the airline, the route, the aircraft, your pet's size and weight with its carrier, and the destination's rules — some destinations require pets to arrive as cargo. Many pets travel as checked baggage or manifest cargo instead. See cabin, checked baggage or cargo.

Do the CDC rules apply to cats?

The CDC's dog import rules apply to dogs only. Cats entering the United States face fewer federal requirements, but some states and airlines have their own. See bringing a cat into the USA.

Will my pet go into quarantine?

Some destinations require quarantine for every pet; others don't if every requirement is met in time; and some require it when a step is missing or late. Each route guide explains the rule for that country.

Do you work with military families?

Yes, we coordinate moves for families on PCS orders. We're an independent private company with no affiliation with the Department of Defense; your finance office decides what's reimbursable. See military relocation.

Where are you based?

Yunifly is run by the team behind 886JetPet in Taiwan. We don't have a U.S. office; we work with your vet in the U.S., the authorities and airlines, and local partners where available.
